How does one remain grounded on the surface of this planet, like trees firmly rooted in the earth? How can we, like the tangled roots of a tree, grip the solid rocks beneath the soil? As mountain ranges crumble and homes collapse, how do we console the wounded mountains and damaged souls? When disasters strike, no one can predict or escape them. We must, like the intertwining roots of trees, firmly support one another, heal our collective wounds and fears, and endure test after test. We also need to understand the pulse and emotions of the land. Even when the mountains collapse, as long as the roots remain, they will break through the overlying soil and the countless layers of obstacles, displaying resilience and the enduring power of life.
